About the role
We are looking for a bright, motivated, client focused, experienced lawyer with minimum 3 – 6 years PQE to work directly with two Partners in our Commercial/Corporate/IP team.
In this role you will be involved in all areas of commercial, corporate and IP transactional work, including acquisitions and disposals, investments, loan and security, shareholder agreements, as well as restructuring and corporate advisory work. In terms of client base, this role has a good mix, and will see you advising Australian and international clients, including both private and public companies, on a range of matters for a number of industry sectors.
Day to day, you will work on commercial business matters from start to finish and you will be involved in, for example, drafting commercial agreements, drafting joint venture agreements, advise on restructurings, due diligences, draft partnership agreements, trademark prosecutions and filings, portfolio management, sale and purchase of businesses as well as corporate and trust structuring.
Skills & Experience
To be considered for this position, you will have at least 3 – 6 years post qualifying experience as a Commercial and Corporate lawyer in a similar role and be technically competent in the area of commercial law. Ideally, you will have an interest in IP and want to be developed in this area. It is important that you are a strong communicator, you pride yourself in your high attention to detail and you plan your time effectively to meet deadlines.
An intermediate level of MS Office applications is essential and experience with use of Affinity practice management system and File Site Document Management would be highly regarded but not essential as full training will be given.
